Clay connects us to all and invites us to play and to express ourselves. To explore the earth, alchemy, transformation and our own limitless creative potential.

We offer you a beautiful space near the sea with all the materials you need, and our knowledge to guide you through the ceramic process. Tania - Ro - Rocio or Alawa."

Surfing took me to the waves of Chile. I stayed with a Chilean family, and upon entering their house... I saw a ceramic workshop! It reminded me of my childhood and the days at the Municipal Ceramics School in my hometown. Something throbbed again, so I made the decision to stop traveling in order to give space and continuity to the clay. I started by going to a workshop, and 4 years later I had my first production experience which paid for my ticket to Costa Rica! Alawa was being born, and endless causalities, heart hunches and lessons began to mark my path. The earth element was summoning me to learn from her.

Many hours in silence with the clay, and many others shared with company made this present that I love -- a workshop, a way of life, objects, talks, creating with others… Alawa is this and so much more. It is where I Am, it is my expression and in her I observe myself, it is where I interact with others, with life, and invites me to intuitively create and transform myself.

The love for surfing brought me here.

My first passion, surfing, and my daily expression: "I'm going to the water!" "Voy al agua!" or a simple message – "Alawa!" It was enough of a message to warn my friends that the sea was looking fine and that we had to go have fun. Without realizing it, water as an element did its work within me and was a great teacher. I knew that ALAWA would be a good project name to honor that game of mirages that connects me with my inner sea.
